Mark your calendars for ...
An Evening with Bill Borden Thanks to the inspiration of Tom Binkley, our club is inviting the British Sports Car Club as our guests for a special evening with Bill Borden. Bring friends, spouses, and children for a fun evening at an unusual, classy location for ... well, you'll see. You, by now, know a bit about Bill and Sharon and their lovingly restored XK120 ... which Bill purchased as a Junior in High School. What you may not know is that Bill is an accomplished, old-school car guy and an automotive designer ... having worked for more than 30 years with the Ford Motor Company and Research Centre, rubbing shoulders with other designers in this country and abroad. His projects included the Mustang Sportiva show vehicle, Brazilian Corsel, and custom vehicles for Mrs. Lee Iacocca, Edsel Ford, William Clay Ford, and Walter Buhl Ford. Bill is still working on his talk, photos, sketches, and is selecting the pieces for, well, one man's views on automotive design and the perils of Jaguar restoration. Before and after the talk, you will a rare chance to catch up with and ask questions of Bill. Join us for a rare look into the industry, and into the cars that we all love and cherish. When: Saturday November 17 @ 6:30 p.m.
Where: Restored Old Male High School Bill Collins Conference Center 911 S. Brook Street Louisville, Kentucky 40203
Dress: Casual Dinner: Catered by Gumby's Garden Room Café - $20, plus cash bar
